Jeanette was raised in Macomb, IL where she attended St. Paul’s Catholic School (PreK – 6th grade program) until Jr. High. She then transitioned to the public school system. After high school she went on to play soccer at Monmouth College then to Western Illinois University to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Art Studio. In 2012, she earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Since graduation, Jeanette has worked in multiple settings as a SLP including pediatric outpatient, hospital, geriatric and pediatric long-term care, and schools. Her education and experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist has provided understanding and insight into child development. Jeanette strongly believes that you must meet the child where they are developmentally to have the best academic outcomes; a child cannot be expected to perform beyond their abilities.
In 2016, Jeanette and her husband, Tony, founded Gathman Auction Company where she holds the role for marketing and business management.
Jeanette goes above and beyond to advocate for others, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a deep commitment to understand each individual’s unique perspective and needs.
Jeanette enjoys coaching basketball and soccer, learning, family camping adventures to national parks, and spending time with their pets and livestock. Most of all she enjoys time with her husband and their two children.
